About Course

Learners should be able to:

  1. Acquaint themselves with basic concepts in sports entrepreneurship,

Course Content

Module 1: Introduction to Sports Entrepreneurship
By the end of this module the learner should be able to: i) State and explain the principles and concepts of Sports Entrepreneurship. ii) Outline the importance of entrepreneurship in the sports industry. iii) Explain the unique roles teachers and educators can play in developing sports businesses. iv) Outline the qualities and characteristics that make a successful sports entrepreneur.

Module 3: Types of Sports Entrepreneurship
By the end of this module the learner should be able to: i) identify and describe various forms of sports business ventures such as product sales, services, and events. ii) explore how technology and media are transforming sports entrepreneurship. iii) identify business opportunities in sports tourism, health, fitness, and wellness. iv) identify education-based sports ventures that teachers and educators can develop.

By the end of this module the learner should be able to: i) explain how teachers can create and manage different sports-based ventures. ii) Demonstrate acquisition of knowledge and skills to set up training centers, consulting services, and sports camps. iii) apply entrepreneurial thinking in online sports education and digital platforms. iv) develop the ability to design school and community sports programs that promote wellness and inclusion.
