About Course

Learners should be able to:

  1. Acquaint themselves with basic concepts in Cultural entrepreneurship,
  2. Acquire knowledge and skills in cultural entrepreneurship
  3. Be highly motivated to start/scale businesses in the domain, and
  4. Acquire cultural entrepreneurship culture.

Course Content

Module 1: Introduction to Cultural Entrepreneurship
By the end of this module the learners should be able to: i) identify cultural entrepreneurship opportunities. ii) Outline the role of culture in economic and social development. iii) Explain the mindset and characteristics of a successful cultural entrepreneur. iv) Differentiate between traditional and cultural entrepreneurship practices.

By the end of this module the learners should be able to: i) Develop creative thinking skills to generate innovative cultural products and services. ii) explain the processes of cultural innovation and its role in entrepreneurship. iii) explain how to protect intellectual property and creative ideas in cultural ventures

Module 4: Cultural Business Models and Strategy
