ESRC Cameroon

The Entrepreneurship and Social Research Center-Cameroon (ESRC) was founded in 2019 as a result of an agreement between a number of stakeholders who saw entrepreneurship as the driver of economic growth and development.  It was created with the objective of promoting entrepreneurship culture, knowledge and technical and institutional capacities for the design, formulation and evaluation of development policies that contribute to inclusive growth, poverty and inequality reduction and human development.

The Centre began its activities in August 2019 and, since then, it has been providing advisory services to entrepreneurs, receiving study tours from mentees, hosting international research fellows and interns, facilitating capacity- strengthening and knowledge-sharing through training, conferences, as well as building networks of researchers and practitioners on development policies.

The Entrepreneurship and Social Research Centre (ESRC) has as vision to free human skills and talents trapped in conflict, insecurity and poverty in both Suburban and rural communities of Cameroon and Africa with the goal of achieving equality, wellbeing and meaningful career development to alleviate poverty among the young population by 2050.
